Used Suzuki GSX-R1000 Parts Guide: 2009-2016 and 2017+ Fitment

The GSX-R1000 is a track-day and street favorite, and that means plenty of crashed and parted-out bikes. That's good news if you need used OEM parts. Here's how the generations split and what we have in stock.

GSX-R1000 generations at a glance

The 2009-2016 GSX-R1000 (often called K9 through L6) shares one chassis generation. The 2017-on GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000R are an all-new bike, so parts generally don't cross between the two. Within each generation, Suzuki made smaller changes from year to year, so confirm part numbers on electronics and bodywork.

Parts riders need most after a crash or tip-over

  • Bodywork: side fairings, upper fairing, tail and belly pan
  • Controls: clip-on handlebars, levers, switches and rearsets
  • Cooling: radiators and oil coolers, which often take the hit in a low-side
  • Chassis: subframes, swingarms, wheels and, after a big crash, the main frame
  • Lighting: headlights, tail lights and mirrors

Fitment tips before you buy

  • Check the part number. Year ranges are a starting point. The number on the part, matched against the OEM parts diagram for your bike, is what confirms fit.
  • ABS and non-ABS. Brake lines, wiring and some brackets can differ between versions.
  • Electronics. ECUs, dashes and ignition parts are often paired to the key or immobilizer, so check whether a set includes the matching keys.
  • Ask us. Send us your VIN or part number and we'll confirm fitment before you order.

Every part ships within 1 business day, is photographed as the actual item, and comes with a 30-day return policy.
